Embattled Florida representative Matt Gaetz is contemplating leaving politics and heading to NewsmaxTV, according to media reports. Gaetz is also reportedly at the center of a federal sex trafficking investigation.

Gaetz is no stranger to network television appearing on several Fox News programs including Hannity and Tucker Carlson Tonight. He is a staunch supporter of former president Donald Trump who Newsmax defended vigorously after a contentious presidential election.

“Yes. I’ve had many conversations with many people about life after Congress,” Gaetz told The Daily Beast. “These conversations have been very general in nature and have never included me soliciting or receiving an offer of employment.”

While nothing is imminent, Gaetz said that he has had conversations with just about every right-leaning television network. “I have neither received nor solicited offers from any of them. But yes, I have talked to either executives, producers or hosts at Newsmax, OAN, Fox, Fox Business, Real America’s Voice and probably others I’m forgetting at this moment as I focus intently on refuting false accusations against me.”

Newsmax TV’s top show is Greg Kelly Reports which airs at 7 pm ET. Besides that, the network has tremendous flexibility in what or who they could plug in.

Despite a potential criminal investigation against him, Gaetz remains extremely popular amongst Conservative Republicans.

WGN-TV’s Emmy award-winning anchor Julie Unruh is leaving the television business to spend more time with her family.

According to media writer Roger Feder, Unruh’s last day with the Nexstar-owned company will be Nov 24.

“I’ve been proud to work alongside you as I’ve watched Channel 9 grow from a few small, local newscasts each day to broadcasting nearly non-stop, earning our rightful place in a competitive news market,” Unruh wrote in an email to coworkers.

Unruh first joined WGN-TV in 2001. In her time with the station, she has covered everything from human interest stories to political corruption.

Before joining the WGN news team, Julie spent two years as an anchor and reporter on Chicagoland TV (CLTV). Previously, Julie spent a year as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at KTKA in Topeka, Kansas.

I’m looking forward to stepping aside and spending more time with my family. The time is right,” she said.

Emerald Robinson’s Days at Newsmax Are Numbered

According to the information, Newsmax will be tapping former Fox News chief D.C. correspondent James Rosen to take over the role.

Newsmax’s White House reporter Emerald Robinson could be counting her days with the network as The Daily Beast reports that there’s a replacement lined up to replace Robinson.

According to the information, Newsmax will be tapping former Fox News chief D.C. correspondent James Rosen to take over the role. Rosen is currently a political reporter for Sinclair Broadcasting Group.

Twitter banned Robinson following a tweet regarding the COVID-19 vaccine stating that it carries a “bioluminescent” tracking device with satanic powers. As a result, the social media platform handed her a seven-day suspension.

The network would then pull her off any on-air duties, and then after her suspension was over it resulted in the permanent ban from Twitter.

The Daily Beast spoke to a current staffer who stated that the consensus view amongst Newsmax employees is that “she’s just going to be gone” but “nothing definitive.” Another source told the media outlet that Robinson is almost unquestionably done with Newsmax.

Furthermore, two sources also told The Daily Beast that Newsmax is negotiating with Rosen to become their new chief D.C. correspondent. “Unfortunately, we cannot comment on personnel issues,” a Newsmax spokesperson stated on the report.

The Twitter account to CBS Mornings was forced to delete a tweet last week calling Kyle Rittenhouse a “murderer.”

Rittenhouse stands accused of murder and is currently on trial in connection with an incident that occurred during a Black Lives Matter protest last August.

The tweet read, “Kyle Rittenhouse testified in his own murder trial yesterday, breaking down in tears as he told the jury he murdered two men at a Black Lives Matter protest last year in self-defense.”

Last week, Rittenhouse testified that he was running to put out a fire when a man named Joseph Rosenbaum allegedly ambushed him.

Rittenhouse claimed one man, Joshua Ziminski, walked toward him with a pistol while Rosenbaum was closing in on his right side.

Closing arguments in the trial are scheduled to begin on Monday.
